![]() ![]() I agree that I felt a bit overwhelmed by the dialogues amount in Berseria at times but hey, talking to villagers and skits are totally optional so it's a problem that can be fixed easily. (I don't actually dislike berseria at all I just prefer other CC/SG games more) It's not a perfect game but neither is Zestiria and I love em still. The combat feels smooth as baby's butt and the discovery skits are introduced there. You might like Graces F more than Berseria. You actually can get tired of those here - have to watch them before they go away and they usually come in 3s instead of more spread out like in Zestiria. The music is definitely a step down from Zestirias magnificent tracks (actually muted post-game dungeon music for the random chest grind) and the skits are not spread out more. Dodging in combat is meaningless if you have plenty of souls already :/ Only thing left for me to do in Berseria is beat earlier bosses with Chaos unlocked which so far have been a joke. Whereas I still have much more challenges and builds to try out for 3rd playthrough of Zestiria. Combat and equipment systems are more simple and I'm finding that I'll put down the game for good after this 2nd playthrough. ![]() I know I'm barely 1/3 of the way through but I was expecting something more entertaining and challenging.ĭoes anybody else have similar experience with Berseria?ĭefinitely agree on the few points that you made. I dig the story and the twists and the unexpected characters but that'd be it. ![]() I can fight using basically only right hand while using left for switching between enemies and subs. In Berseria there are only buttons, therion form does nothing extra and while exiting the additional arte executes automatically. In Zestiria we had Armatizations and could mix combos with arrows+buttons. After three days it feels like a chore to listen to everything and then talk to twenty more villagers about things that more often than not are irrelevant to the story.įinally, the fighting mechanics are far too simplified. In Zestiria lots of dialogues were played in the background and the skits were far less frequent. Here I get 3-4 dialogues on average without moving 5 meters (including skits). In Zestiria it felt much more paced - a dialogue here, a dialogue there, walk a while and then another. Which takes me to another thing I have a problem with - too much dialogues at once. In Berseria I would be totally bored if it wasn't for Magilou - I love this girl and her antics. Guys from Zestiria had a lot more appeal to them and their interactions were way more funny and entertaining. This is the second Tales game I'm playing, the first one being Zestiria which I loved every moment of, so hearing people talk about Berseria being better (and ranking higher) I finally got it on sale.įirst of all I have a problem with characters and their interactions. ![]()
